Somers Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Group added a neurosurgeon and a total joint surgeon to its team, according to a Sept. 24 news release.
Ezriel Kornel, MD, a neurosurgeon who specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery and has more than 40 years of experience in the field, will join the practice's Mount Kisco location. He is also an assistant clinical professor at Weill Cornell in New York City.
Dr. Kornel earned his medical degree from Rush University in Chicago, and he completed his residency at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
Daniel Buchalter, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon with expertise in joint replacements and robot-assisted surgery. He is the son of Joel Buchalter, MD, who co-founded Somers Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Group.
Dr. Daniel Buchalter earned his medical degree at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and completed his residency at the NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital, both in New York City. He practices at the Somers Orthopaedic location in Danbury, Conn.
