A Doctor's doctor!!! I had surgery with Dr Buchalter, and I was up and walking in recovery. Never need one pain medicine. I wakled without any pain or discomfort ad even PT couldn't believe how quick my recovery was. He is caring and a PRECISE sugeon. I had a total hip done. Had literally almost no brusiing. 4 weeks post, I was climbing a 2500 mountain without any difficulty. I am 6 moths post-op now, and he has literally given me back my life. You are in the BEST of hands with Dr. Buchalter and wouldn't go anywhere else. Best decision I ever made after 2 years of solid research!!!

Dr. Buchalter is a very kind and caring doctor. He listens to you when you speak. He explains everything so you know exactly what to expect. He takes time to get to know you. Dr. Buchalter and his staff are wonderful.

Joel Buchalter is the kindness man/ doctor I have ever met! He did my hip replacement on Jan 24 2019! I am free if oain for the first time in years!!! He put a smile on my face!! It’s very hard to find a doctor that you look up to, and his staff is amazing also!! I can’t say enough about him!!! Thank you for being my Savior!!??

Dr Buchalter is a caring and very knowldable doctor. He did surgery on my knee and should after I was hit by a car at work. He came in everyday to check my shoulder to make sure it was not infected. He is more experienced then many ortho doctors that I have seen. That I why I trusted only him to perform surgery on me.

My first visit with Dr. found him to be amazing. 1St MD I have seen in a very long time interested in the person and complaint. Pulled up a seat and made eye contact. No computer in hand( imagine that!) Reviewed my x ray findings with me and explained findings . Even showed me the x rays and further explained the findings and treatment needed. Great Doc. He's a keeper! I highly recommend him. Great staff as well.

Dr. bookwalter is the best. He repaired my right shoulder torn rotator cuff some years ago and returned me from 10% usage of my arm with significant pain to 100% use of my arm with no pain at all. He is caring and responsive and supremely competent. I am now returning to him to have my left torn rotator cuff repaired because I know that he has the skills to return me to full functioning. I found him and his entire staff to be there for me throughout the entire process.

There are only two words to describe him, "The Best". I've had Three surgeries with him; knee replacement, shoulder repair and elbow repair. All with excellent results. He is very caring, personable, gives you as much time as you need, answers all questions and treats you like a close friend. DON'T GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!!

Rotator cuff surgery is never fun but if you face the prospect of having a repair done you won't find a more talented team than Dr. Buchalter and Somers Orthopaedic. Surgery in late October and with extensive PT, near full range and no daily pain only 5 months out. It's not 100% yet but it's far ahead of where I expected to be. A big thank you to Carmine for his assist and a shout out to the Anesthesia and the same day surgery teams too. I won't hesitate to see Dr Buchalter again.

Great doctor, would not have anyone else. He has done both of my knees and recovery was perfect. I have tecommended Dr. Buchalter to a number of people and those who have finally decided to have a knee or hip or etc. thank me over & over for recommending Dr. Buchalter.????

I had be seeing him for 2+. I totally agree with the other area. I I was scheduled to have knee surgery. And 3 days before surgery, Buchalter canceled my knee surgery. He had his secretary Buchalter just the surgery. He DID NOT take my calls or call me directly. As a Medical Professional, many years in medicine. As a Ortho MD, He should have spoke with directly. I was hurt and the way I was treated. I would give a ?? On his survey! No patient or people should be treated that way.I Gave 4 Stars.
